The Mt Albert Badminton Club plays at the Mt Albert Recreation Centre on Tuesday and Sunday evenings. Advantages of joining the club include:

Volunteers are required across a range of areas, some roles include pre-event assistance

Masters Open Day
“New Year to Make New Friends”
Come along and bring a friend to the Masters Open Day.
7pm to 9pm Weds 30th Jan at 99 GIllies Ave, Epsom, Auckland Just $10 per person.
Games will be made up for you and tips given to newbies. Great fun, competitive but fun games at your level for just $10. Shuttles all provided. $10 includes a free drink afterwards too. Great way to make some new friends or get reacquainted with old ones
Just a reminder if you haven’t done so already, that Registration for Masters Inter-Association is due before FRI 31 JAN. Please do this now at www.auckbadevents.co.nz .
If you want a chance to dust the rust off your racquet and get back into the swing of badminton after the Xmas break, then come along to Gillies Ave on Wed 30 Jan.
It will be social games from 7-9pm, with the usual socialisation afterwards.
The cost is $10, which includes your first drink free.
Feel free to invite any other Masters-age players along also.

Welcome Lee Chong Wei to NZ Current no. one player !!!
Join the “Sea of Blue” on Tuesday 18th of December 12:45pm Auckland Airport
It’s very very important (and I can’t over emphasise this) that we get a good number of people from Auckland to welcome Lee Chong Wei to NZ.
As he makes his first steps out at the airport and his first look at NZ we want him to see a sea of blue to encourage him to return to Auckland in future we only get one go at this. Very rare opportunity to photograph him in his first steps into the country.
We are gathering at 12:45 at the International Airport Arrival area and he is due to land at 1:10pm. We have a big banner and flags. If you can go email cliff@auckbad.co.nz so we can gauge numbers that would be appreciated. If you are a rep wear your Auckland shirt, if not try and wear something blue.
Autographs with Lee Chong Wei – Weds 19th of December – 2pm Sky City
Bring something to get autographed – people from all ages junior and senior welcome. We are gathering at Sky City entrance under the escalators at 2pm and going up to Level 7 at The Terrace room at 2:15pm. Again email cliff@auckbad.co.nz so we can gauge numbers. And reps please again wear your Auckland shirt.
